Welcome to KYFA

Kisumu Youth Football Association (KYFA) is a community-based organization that has been organizing football competitions in the greater Kisumu area since its inception in 2004. We have successfully mobilized over 125 youth football teams (2,500 youths) to participate in our local leagues, divided into under 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 for boys and under 16 and over 16 for girls. In addition to involving children, we have established a network of coaches, referees, team managers and other officials to provide a stable environment for the players to develop. We have built our program on the premises that sport can contribute to the overall well-being of a child and can assist them in becoming contributing members of society.

Our Objectives

The objects of the association are:

a) To create and strengthen sustainable structures for youth football competitions

b) To build the capacity of and strengthen the management systems of Kisumu's youth football teams

c) To create and sustain KYFA's public profile in order to promote sports as a tool for social change
