First Aid Training

In 2008, KYFA entered into a partnership with the Kenyan branch of St. John's Ambulance to create the KYFA division. This partnership arose out of the need for treatment of minor injuries on the field of play for the children. In order to ensure their safety, KYFA decided to add First Aid training to its capacity building program.

Last year, there were 68 people trained in First Aid amongst all the teams. This year, 33 of those people renewed their certification and 15 new workers were trained. KYFA has also provided a first aid kit for each field that matches are played on. This program has helped to provide basic safety and emergency response for all KYFA players.
