KYFA's strategic partners include the donor agency Cordaid and a number of Dutch private foundations such as Johan Cruijff, Janivo, Lions Club Tilburg and Respect. They cover most of KYFA's annual budget of about Kshs 4 million.
Corporate donor is the US based sports manufacturer NIKE Inc. that has supported KYFA with training materials. In 2007 KYFA was also supported with a variety of individual donations in kind such as prices and football gear.
The Royal Dutch Football Federation (KNVB), the Nairobi based Mathare Youth Sports Association (MYSA) and recently Ujima Foundation (Kisumu) are key implementers of KYFA's training programme.
KYFA is one of the founding members of the Sport for Social Change Network (SSCN), an initiative launched in February 2007 and sponsored by CARE International, NIKE Inc. and USAID. SSCN is a four-year global initiative using sport to achieve lasting social change.
